5 Year Anniversary

Our 5 year anniversary was on the 26th. It is kind of crazy to look back on the past 5 years and see everything that has happened. We have 3 beautiful kids, Brian has graduated from Chiropractic school, and we are loving being close to family again. I am so grateful for all the experiences we have had and for the friends we have made. Brian has always been so good to me and I am lucky to have found such a great guy.

First Days Home

Jantzen with his namesake Jantzen Mazza. He has been my friend since I was a little girl and Brian and I both liked the name and he gives it a good name so that is where the name came from. We didn't tell his we were thinking about it so it really surprised him when we told him.

I just had to show how fast they grow up. Jocelyn looks so big to us now.

They round circles on his cheeks are the left over adhesive from the stickers. He has really sensitive skin.

Jantzen Randy Vranes

Jantzen was 8 pounds and 20 inches long.
This is his second iv. After the first one went bad they had to use a vein from his head to give him his antibiotics and fluid.

Lexie is such a proud big sister and she has been a great help to me.

This is his first iv. He looks like he has a broken arm. They were also monitoring his heart rate, body temperature, and his breathing. He didn't like his oxygen and he would get his hand up to his face and pull it down. After the first day they put stickers on the side of it to keep it up.

I can't believe we are already a family of 5! We are so grateful that he is now healthy and that he only had to stay at the hospital for 5 days. The girls are doing great with him and they always want to hold him.

Jantzen Randy Vranes

I do not have internet at my home anymore so that is why I don't have any pictures of Jantzen posted. While I am home for Christmas I will try to get the pictures downloaded to my inlaws computer. If it doesn't work I just wanted to write a quick update. Jantzen was born on Monday, December 15th. I had a lot of false labor. I went so quickly with Jocelyn that I was worried, but with him I was having consistant contractions but I wasn't dialating. He decided he would break my water Monday morning. He did around 8:00 and I had him at 11:39. I was going to try and be tough and not have an epidural since I didn't with Jocelyn but after a few really hard contractions I decided I needed it. They got it in and I sat back and I felt like I had to push. I told Bri to get the nurse and she came and checked me and said that I couldn't push until the Doctor got there. It took him about 5 minutes and as he was walking in the door he told me I could push if I was having a contraction. I only had to push a few minutes and he was here. I felt everything, but the epidural did go into effect right after he was born. He swallowed some amniotic fluid and it got in his lungs so he had to get hooked up to an iv and had heart monitors and all sorts of cords all over him. We had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. We came home on Friday the 19th and he is doing great. I took him to the doctor at one week and he was already back to birth weight so they said he was doing really good. I hope to get pictures soon, but I just wanted to let everyone know how things went. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Family Update

I don't have any new pictures to post, but I thought I would do a quick update.
-Brian is doing really well at work. He is really enjoying working with the two doctors and he has had some great experiences. He is certified in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) and it has definitely shown to be well worth it. We are really enjoying Brigham City and we just hope that things will continue to go well.
-I am just enjoying the girls and waiting patiently for this little guy to come. If I haven't had him by Thursday the 18th my Doctor will start me. So we only have one more week, and we are so excited. We still are having a hard time deciding on a name, but it will come to us when we see him.
-Lexie is the biggest sweetheart. She is such a good kid and she is very motherly. She is going to be just like I was as a kid. She already tries to control Jocelyn. (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not.) She loves to color and she is really good at it. She can't wait to start preschool next year and she is going to be a great helper when baby brother comes.
-Jocelyn is my spunky kid. She is always into mischief and she has the cutest twinkle in her eye. She still loves her binky, but she knows she can only have it when she is sleeping so she puts it under her pillow when she wakes up. It is really funny. She loves playing with Lexie and they always have a great time together.
-I am going to try and be better at updating. Everyone check back in about a week and we should have pictures of our little one.

Peach Days

I am really delayed on my posts, but here are some pictures of Brigham City Peach Days. Kimballs came up to spend the weekend with us and the kids had so much fun together.Jocelyn was exhausted after the big day of rides, parade, and walking around.

I couldn't get a good picture of Jocelyn on the train because she was to small so we couldn't see her over the side very well.
Bri and the girls in line for the merry-go-round.

Girls having fun together

Lexie and Jocelyn have been so cute together lately. They play really well together (most of the time). Here are just a bunch of different shots of them together.

Idaho Falls Zoo

We haven't taken Jocelyn to the zoo since she was younger and didn't care to much so we were excited to see how she would react to all the animals. This is her talking to a llama. She was so happy the whole time, and really cute.

Lexie was all tuckered out after the trip. She had to keep her glasses on though because it was way to sunny she said.

These faces are just priceless. Jocelyn and Jaxton (my nephew) both look crazy.

Williams Family Reunion

My grandma Davis and her brothers and sisters have had a reunion since the 1960's or something like that so it has always been something that I have always looked forward too. I haven't been for awhile since I have been in Iowa so it was great to go again. Lexie and Jocelyn got these hats in a raffle they had so Bri and Jocelyn had to show them off. Lexie's head is peaking up right there.
We attempted a nap for Jocelyn in our tent and it was way to hot so we found some shade and put her down and she slept for 4 hours. Camping was really hard on her.

Aunt Heather and Jocelyn coming out of the slide. She just went down a couple of times and that was good enough for her.
Bri and Lexie coming out of the slide. This is first of many trips down the slide for her. I bought her an additional 10 slide pass and she used those up and the workers just let her continue going down because she was having so much fun.

They both had to have lifejackets since they were under a certain height and they looked so cute.
